Some people are naturals when it comes to bluffing. No matter what they are feeling, you can’t read their expressions; these people are usually really awesome poker players. The problem is that most of us have faces that are easy to read, we can’t bluff our way out of a speeding ticket, and will never be able to do well playing poker. For those of us who have expressive faces, Blackjack is a better option when we are looking for a game of chance. You don’t need to worry about bluffing when you are playing Blackjack.

Another really great thing about Blackjack is that it does require some strategy and some minimal skills, so you are not totally relying on luck like you do with some other casino activities such as the slots or roulette.

When you sit down at the Blackjack table, you have to remember that your goal is to win. That means you should only take insurance when absolutely have to do so. You also need to remember that the game is between you and the dealer, not with anyone else who may be sitting at the table with you. The reason you should avoid the insurance option is because doing so is basically betting against yourself.

When the dealer deals you your first two cards, you also have the option of doubling down. If your first two cards are good, you should always double down; it is a great way to make up for any money that you might have lost on earlier hands.

The first part of playing Blackjack at a casino is placing your bet. Before any of the cards are dealt, you are going to have to lay a bet down on the table. When you are laying a bet, remember that you don’t have to worry about anybody else, your bet simply claims that you think you are going to be dealt a hand that is closer to twenty-one than the dealer. Most Blackjack bets are even money.

When you look at your cards you are going to have to decide if your want to surrender, double down, split, hit, or stand. The surrender term means that you will take half of your bet back and kill the hand. The only time you can chose to surrender is when you only have your first cards.

You can only split when your first two cards have the same face value, splitting the cards turns them into two separate hands. Most Blackjack players believe that you should never split your tens but always split aces. You can not split your hand if you have more than the first two cards you were dealt.

The most commonly used words at the Blackjack table are hit and stand. The term hit means that you would like the dealer to deal you another card. Most Blackjack dealers opt to stand when they have a hand that adds ups to seventeen.

If you are seriously planning on playing Blackjack, the next time you go to the best online casino and you would like to make some money doing so, you should pick up a book on Blackjack strategies and maybe play some Blackjack computer games before sitting down at the real table and playing with your real money.
